Information of Aarti

Aarti is a Hindu ritual in which light is offered to one or more deities. Aarti is also sometimes referred to as puja or pooja. The word "aarti" comes from the Sanskrit word "aratrika," which means "to offer."

Aarti is typically performed one or more times a day, and sometimes even multiple times within a single day. It is usually performed using a lamp or a candle, and sometimes both. The light is then offered to the deity or deities, and sometimes also to other individuals who may be present, such as guru, saints, or elders. Aarti is usually accompanied by singing and sometimes by the ringing of bells.

The purpose of aarti is to bring blessing and prosperity to individuals and communities. There are many variations on this practice, but the general idea is to acknowledge the divine presence in your life and show respect for it.
