Information of Stotra/Stotram

A stotram is a Hindu devotional hymn dedicated to a deity, typically sung in Sanskrit. They are often recited as a part of puja (worship) ceremonies and other religious rituals. Many stotrams are also chanted as a form of japa (repetitive chanting of mantra).

Stotrams usually consist of a series of verses, each of which is called a sloka. The verses often praise the deity, recount their stories, or offer prayers for their protection and guidance. Some stotrams also contain instructions on how to perform certain rituals.

Chanting of stotrams is believed to bring about spiritual benefits such as peace of mind, increased concentration, and a deeper connection with the divine. It is also thought to purify the mind and body, and to help one attain self-realization.
